How We're Cooling the Warehouse and Distribution Industry this Summer.

Warehouse cooling is vital during the summer; especially where in areas where equipment adds to summer temperatures. There is no law for maximum and minimum working temperatures, however, guidance suggests a minimum of 16ºC or 13ºC if employees are doing physical work. With the government website stating ‘During working hours the temperature in all indoor workplaces must be reasonable.’ Cross Rental Services have expert teams and an extensive fleet of cooling units to create a suitable temperature for workspaces.

Our large modern fleet offers a range of solutions from portable air conditioning units to large chiller units – suitable for large warehouses with sizeable teams as well as small warehouse units or storage facilities requiring individual cooling.

Warehouse Cooling solutions

Chillers for product cooling

Our fleet consists of units with varying output capabilities; up to 750kW – and with the ability to pair to create multimegawatt packages where required. Ideal for keeping products such as pharmaceuticals or food at a set temperature or a constant range. When paired with air handling units we have the ability to lower the whole room temperature to a set constant; ensuring goods are stored at the required temperature.

Our team of expert field engineers can attend site to discuss which units would best suit your requirements. Our fleet of chillers vary in not only duty but footprint. Our Galletti 9/12/14kW chillers are slimline and small footprint; as well as features including steel framing for ease of lifting and fork pockets for easy maneuverability. These units are great when paired with air handling units to create a suitably cooled area.

Portable units for people cooling

Our Coolspace Avalanche 36 and Blizzard 48 are ideal evaporative units for large areas and industrial settings. Exceptional cooling capabilities with simple installation; requiring either a constant water flow from a domestic hose point or manual water fills with the 174 litre reservoir tank. Often referred to a swamp coolers these units work by pulling warm air through a series of pads and evaporating the water supply to blow out cold evaporated air. Effective and ideal in warehouse and distribution environments to keep employees cool.

Alternatively, for a smaller cooling unit our Coolspace 16 cooler and fan units are ideal for spot cooling and keeping small teams cool.

With various factors effecting which duty air conditioning or chiller unit would be required our expert team are available 24/7/365 to assist and survey the site if necessary. Alternatively, you can visit our online calculator to determine the duty required; based on room size, amount of people and heat emitting equipment.

When it comes to large scale air conditioning for employees; keeping the team cool over the summer months. Cross Rental Services can pair our chillers with air handling units to provide effective cooling to any sized area; with our large range of duty units available.
