Cross Rental Services supported a specialist cooling contractor with a 750kW comfort cooling solution for a high-rise office in central London. A detailed contingency plan was key, addressing limited access, high system pressure (7bar), and tight timelines. Small footprint chillers without tanks were chosen to meet space and pressure constraints.
When demand increased post-occupancy, a pre-planned expansion enabled the rapid addition of a 500kW unit—delivered without disruption, thanks to the foresight built into the original plan.

Data Centre Cooling – Supporting Specialist Contractor Through Complex Chiller Replacement
Working for a specialist contractor, Cross Rental Services provided temporary cooling for a high-profile data centre undergoing a phased chiller replacement over six months. With rooftop access unavailable, we delivered a 3MW ground-level modular system featuring six number 500kW chillers with integral pumpsets.
We installed a scaffold-supported pipework system rising 50m to connect with rooftop plate heat exchangers. The fully monitored package was installed, tested, and handed over—ensuring uninterrupted operation for the contractor’s client.
