The challenge
- After a school’s newly installed boilers failed during commissioning, Cross Rental were called upon to provide an emergency boiler hire solution.
- With children returning to school the following week, it was of the utmost importance that an emergency boiler was provided.
The solution
- The client required a 600kW gas fired boiler on a 4 week hire to provide heating for the school.
- A solution was provided swiftly due to the close proximity of the install to the existing boiler house.
- The spacious environment available for the install enabled the boiler to be positioned in a way which caused minimal disruption to the school’s students. Teachers & students have the freedom to move around without getting too close to the equipment.
- The boiler was connected to the existing boiler house via 3″ Storz hose. All site health & safety procedures were followed with site managers instructed in the daily operation of the temporary equipment.
The outcome
An efficient solution was provided for a client in need. Within 48 hours of first contact, the boiler was delivered & installed to provide ample heat to an area consisting of two school blocks.
