The challenge
- The client came to us seeking a contingency plan to cover heating & hot water provided there was an emergency with their existing system. The temporary boiler would provide heating & hot water for three residential tower blocks in the area.
- The challenging aspect of this job came from the installation needing to be completed within a day & without the client’s existing system being turned off.
The solution
- The client had a heating requirement of 1.2MW which Cross Rental Services matched in the form of two 600kW gas fired boilers connected to plate heat exchangers.
- Cross Rental used two 600kW boilers rather than a 1.2MW boiler on the site due to the high system pressure. Thus, through using two 600kW boilers, our boilers were protected from the old heating system.
- Our engineers designed & installed the boiler hire solution in a way which made it ideal for its year long term hire.
The outcome
With the install requiring completion within a day, Cross responded in an efficient manner completing the install within 6 hours. The boiler hire process from site survey to installation occurred within a 7 day time frame showing the quick nature of our service.
