Frieze London and Frieze Masters are two of the world’s most prestigious art fairs, bringing together leading galleries and collectors from across the globe. Each event takes place in large temporary structures in Regent’s Park, where precise environmental control is critical to protect valuable artworks and ensure a comfortable experience for visitors, exhibitors, and staff.
Maintaining consistent temperature and humidity levels across vast, temporary environments presents a significant challenge. The brief required maintaining an internal temperature of 16°C overnight and 21°C during the day across multiple interlinked structures housing thousands of visitors and priceless artworks.
With tight deadlines, complex logistics, and strict climate control requirements, Frieze required a reliable, large-scale HVAC solution capable of delivering precise temperature regulation throughout the duration of the events, without disruption or compromise.

Our team at Cross Rental Services designed and delivered a comprehensive, fully integrated HVAC hire solution for both Frieze London and Frieze Masters, ensuring stable and accurate temperature control across all event spaces.
Frieze Masters: A tailored system providing 7.3MW of temperature control capacity was deployed to deliver precise heating and cooling performance across multiple zones.
Frieze London: A larger installation, totalling 12.17MW, was engineered to maintain consistent climate conditions across an expanded footprint, incorporating multiple interlinked gallery structures.
Each system was configured to achieve balanced heating and cooling distribution, ensuring that artworks remained protected within the ideal temperature range while maintaining comfort for all visitors and exhibitors. Our project management team worked in close coordination with event organisers to ensure both installations were completed safely, on time, and with minimal disruption to the event setup.
