The challenge
We were approached by our clients facilities manager to provide a cooling solution to a major UK food manufacturing plant.
The client required a over head ducting solution to run along production lines of the factory floor; providing cool air distribution.

The solution
- We visited site to assess our clients requirements; our field engineer carried out a free site survey to assure the install would provide an effective solution.
- Cross Rental Services specified to install a 100kw chiller with two air handling units and ducting into the building; allowing for a duty capable of cooling the whole area for the client.
- Our engineers installed perforated overhead ducting along the production lines suspended with grapple wire; giving a secure fixing and meeting all heath and safety requirements.
The outcome
Our engineers installed a chiller with air handling into the building. This installation with the perforated ducting provided the client with evenly distributed cool air over the employees working on production lines – effectively keeping teams cool through the summer months.
